If I Could Fly

If I could fly
here's what I'd do;
I'd fly away with you
and rise
through the clouds
into the blue.
And the world we would find
would be gentle and kind.
It would all be shiny and new.
If i could fly
I'd fly away with you.

If I could write
here's what I'd do;
I'd write a song for you
and the words would be
simple and true.
They'd say you are my friend
together to the end
in everything we do.
If i could write
I'd write a song for you.

If i could sing
here's what i'd do;
i'd sing my song with you
in a world that
only we knew.
And the melody
and eternity
would blend in perfect hue.
