The tiger rises up before the pounce
a few seconds of complete visibility
and the deer sees no more
The tiger feels no sorrow
...
Run little girl, run away
Hide some place and there you'll stay
Watch little girl as the world spins round
Soon the bodies of society will lie on the ground
...
do you scream when no one’s around?
You’re lost in your world but don’t want to be found.
You turn to run, when no one pulls you back.
You’re running along the beaten track.
...
These walls feel like they are slipping away,
I’m standing on the one floorboard that stays in place,
I see my world melting right before my eyes,
I’m forced to watch as I see my hopes die,
...
I made this account because i was interested to find out how other people found my poems. I am obviously not a professional but i enjoy writing and would love you to comment honestly (though try to to be to mean) and voice your opinions of my poetry. I would really value some advice.)
The Tiger And The Deer
The tiger rises up before the pounce
a few seconds of complete visibility
and the deer sees no more
The tiger feels no sorrow
feels no pain
just the warmth of success
The deer feels no heat
feels no cold
just the piercing dullness of death
