Comments about Jodie Snyder
Today a tree (one that I loved)
Has cracked in winter's storm
Its trunk is split. Its branches down
A shattered, lifeless form
I climbed the tree when I was young
And ate its juicy fruit
I really felt it was my friend
though it was still and mute
No more to lean against its strength
Or smell its scented flow'r
Or see those golden Buddhas hang
Awashed in sunshine shower
Perhaps you think it strange that I
Would be sad for a tree
But then I think the problem is
That you do not know me...
