The Kingfisher

Such labours wall me.

Though her ghost may haunt me.

Spluttering in my murky lake,

She shugs-paddles out anyway

knowing my waters'll quake.

her intentions cast?

entangled I cannot last

with but one desperate flail I'm hooked,

the ending may be booked.

she is my catch to no avail,

time's sharks never fail,

his deep blue monsters will be our end m'dear.

once more back to those dark deserts i so fear.

we are and were, always so far yet so near.
