Darkness Is My Friend.

I have one great friend

That friend is the darkness

And we are friends to the end.

Some people may think I’m full of madness

To be friends with such a dark thing

But did they ever hear it sing?

It’s voice is beautiful and young but sings a sad song.

It has been hated and alone for so long,

It’s song was full of sadness.

It has been alone until I sang back to the darkness.

I sang a song full of peace and harmony.

Then I saw the darkness, it’s eyes was white as the moon

It’s smile was bright

It’s skin dark as night

It speaks with a beautiful tune.

It takes the form of a little boy,

Then it sheds tears of joy.

From there, we became friends,

To the end.

Sometimes we have our moments,

When we fight over who is in control of my human shell,

We still have arguments

Which I will not tell.

The darkness is not so bad, but sometimes it’s evil takes over

When anger consumes me.

You may think I’m a fool to be friends with this beast,

But I saw something when I released this being from it’s prison

I saw something risen

From it’s heart,

What I saw was bright

As the light,

What I saw was like art,

What I saw was “Good”.

There was good in this being’s soul,

Then I knew our role!

Our role was to be the greatest friends and share the truth,

I will share the truth, even if I have to waste my Youth!

The truth is, The darkness is not different from you and me,

Only if you can see

That the darkness is just a misunderstood child,

Because of our hatred, the darkness’s evil went wild,

But because of me, the darkness is now mild

And back to a child.

My goal is to take care of the darkness,

The darkness needs me,

Only if you can see,

The darkness wants to be free

From the evil, and become a person just like me,

For Now On, I Will Free The Darkness.

For Now On, I Will Hold The Darkness.

For Now On, I Will Protect The Darkness.

For Now On, I’m The Guardian Of The Darkness.

For Now On, I’m A Servant Of The Darkness.

For Now On, The Darkness Is My Friend,

To The Very End!
