God Took My Dad - Why?

I found myself questioning you god
How could you make me so sad
So confused and yet so angry
The day you took away my Dad

I found it hard to understand
And really struggled to digest
How could this happen right now
And why pick one of the best

I know that it comes to all us god
But how do you know when it is time
To take someone who is still so young
And in many ways still in their prime

How can you decide dear god
And how can you be so sure
Do you think about their loved ones
And the heartache they will endure

I guess that only you know why
Where life ends and life can begin
I know there is a much bigger picture
And only you know where we all fit in

If reincarnation does really exist
And for this you chose my dad
Please give this gift to someone special
Then maybe I wont feel so sad

For I guess if this is your way god
Ill try my best not to cry
That you chose such a larger than life man
Though I still cant understand why

And if life truly does go on
Then dad may not have died in vane
And I hope you choose well dear god
And our sad loss is anothers gifted gain
