Your Fragrance Haunts Me

Your fragrance haunts me
It follows me wherever I roam
I am trying to run far…very far away
To the far reaches of this paradoxical world
In search of the eternal sunshine of a spotless mind

But even in this barren desert where I roam
Your fragrance lingers
Carried by the scorching arid winds after sunrise
And in the cold breeze after sunset
The opposing winds chisel desert roses in the sand

I cannot escape it
It will not let me go
