John Stokes Biography

International Poet, author and essayist. Has also practiced cartography, land surveying, town and countryside planning and river management in Australia and Western Europe. Has won or been shortlisted for many major prizes, including the Blake in Australia and Newcastle Poetry Prizes. Has represented Australia at international festivals and been a Board Member of Writers' Centres. Tutors in poetry and is featured reader at festival events. Is widely anthologised.)
