Meandering Melancholy

Salivating under bitting rays of sunlight
The bite wounds are open and instantly cauterized.
Is this existance worthy to be deemed life?
Breathing. Eating. Smoking to shorten the resperation of forward motion.
Lifes drowsiness makes me want to drag on the filter.
Nicotine needs used to be wants but the biology of addiction
Contorted my body into my own extortionist.
Constantly the body twitches for fixation.
Melodramatic devistation of withdrawl.
Followed by accute frustration.
The death clouds are my short salvation.
Breath slow. Breath deep. Exhale. Let go.

I forget for a second the malady of mediocre life.
But the nagging from the rents restarts.
Im back to the daily farce with the old crony farts.

Its one of those real gloomy days.
The sky is bereft of life. sullen. gray.
Than white. Like the sky got bleached.
Unfrogiving. Seering. White.
You cant bring yourself to open your eyes.
Been inside too long pacing to find peace.
Need to give the legs some stretching.
Make sure the circulation doesnt cease.

So I walk my paces out of the door with
A box of cancer and a lighter.
I wince at the canvas overcast look at the limbs
Where there used to be leaves.
The branches look like ink splattered on blank burlap.
Melancholy is the only emotion
My memories allow me to recieve.

Breath slow breathe deep.
Lifes not the days listed on the calander.
Or hands pointing to numbers on a clock.
Time is the mind. Time is momentary.
I smoke to pause these moments of
Pungency. Rekindling reveries of faded dreams.
Im the Ghost in a shell relishing my mind and bodies
Slow seperation. Drifting in thought to salvation.
