Bow Your Head

When the mind
drifts away
and leaves the heart
astray

Beware the thoughts
fueled with worry
One mistake and
you’ll be sorry

Beware the thoughts
without the heart
Think and feel
or be torn apart

Beware of instinct
filled with panic
Think twice and feel twice
or you’ll end up manic

And when you’ve found
your heart again
but find out
it’s too late, what then?

A chapter comes
to an end, I guess
Bow your head in pain
and remember the happiness
