They came, one by one,
In the boats and in the planes,
They came.
On the beaches and on the cliffs
...
A sudden syringe in my neck,
A hot lead piece that pierces me.
Fiber wire across my throat,
He chokes me with silent emptiness.
...
One By One
They came, one by one,
In the boats and in the planes,
They came.
On the beaches and on the cliffs
They came.
Their enemies saw and knew;
Now was the time to kill
They were shot, blown up, and
Burned, like a bright beacon in Hell.
But they took the beaches
Climbed the cliffs
And slew their enemies,
One by one.
For the world they died and killed for
The brave men of June 6th,1944
