A Reality Disorder

Suffocated by this painful disorder
Where manic feelings seem to border
The low light sensation of depression
This constant fear of failing
Has my insides chronically turning
This silence brings me a special sound
It's enough to make me break down
When the world begins its slumber
Insomnia is whispering in my ear
To keep me up, to make me think
Of wants, needs and things I can't have
My dreams and reality often cross
It’s hard to keep my thoughts sane
These walls begin to talk
And it’s getting quite severe
God is even laughing
It’s the only thing I can hear
I’m the world’s happiest man
And this is what happens when I’m alone
I sit and contemplate my thoughts
As I slowly turn to stone
