JOSEPH JOY Poems

Memories rewinded like a reel

Failing to project good old days
...

Paper O Paper! I let thee Kill,
scribes like butchers with quill.
Merciless daggers furrows made,
hapless cried thee like maid.
...

Tranquil on the death bed,
pale countenance, staring eyes.
A river of experience cascading,
the pangs of the real life,
...

A sister won't come,
a sister is sick,
sisters both I love,
sister I request you
...

Souls in march for peace,
Sought the abstract to seize.
Stooped they came in failure,
Stoic minds that of a collier.
...

Monotony encamped within walls,
sameness locked the shells.
Tapped tame resonance of sound,
minute by minute close I found.

Reel Of Hope

Memories rewinded like a reel

Failing to project good old days

Submerging the white in black,

Fortressed the rays of happiness

Reel screeched for the real,

Yet perception still seized by black.

The hope for light faded

Lids like coffin for my eyes.

Fury of breath reverberated in silence,

Still remained throb of expectation.

Darkness sang dirge for memory

Showcased respect in black attire.

A displaced tile oozed ray of hope,

Spreading shadows in brown.

Darkness stooped with fear,

Trickling down memories I cherished.
