a room dark and obscure
sweet nothings relayed
hoarse voices only heard
from you
...
Everyday seeing, greeting you
Gives me a feeling of distress
The plastic smile, the shallow greeting
is not enough to conceal my utter contempt
...
in the solace of my room
recalling a time
when i was free as a bird,
strong as a mountain
...
In and out of darkness
In and out of sleep
Trying to keep my
hands upon the wheel
...
from the corner of the room
i saw you
smile on your lips piercing
beauty within a hidden beauty
...
I waited patiently for the Lord
He inclined and heard my cry
He brought me up out of the pit
Out of the miry clay
...
you say there is peace,
because nations are prepared for war
love is in the hearts of men,
killing each other to their heart's content
...
why am i writing a poem?
is it because i am much of a romantic?
hopelessly in love with somebody?
or just being me?
...
flowing hair
curved outline
smile beaming on your lips...
heart-shaped face
...
