We Are Not One Of Them
People exist
with lives
of joy
of smiles
of clean skin.
They stay sane,
always.
Blessed with
wives,
husbands,
children,
good jobs
and winning
scratch cards.
They are comfortable,
live in clean
houses
inspire their
kin
to do the same.
They wear polo shirts
freshly pressed
lavender scented.
Owners of
functioning dishwashers
and microwaves.
Boasters of
fashion
and
leather seated
sports cars
and ample
plumbing.
People exist
with these lives.
But
we are not
one of
them.
