Joshua Torres Poems

Seconds, minutes, hours, days quickly pass
Lingering, trying to find the energy to my wishes fulfill;
Obtaining and uniting the inseparable bond of us two.
There is only one that can wake my dormant heart,
...

Chained, detained like a primitive animal caged, enraged.
Jabbed, stabbed with finely sharpened venomous barbs, scarred.
Bled, fed nothing but hatred seasoned with dull puns, shunned.
Blackened, beaten as ear-piercing cacophonous screams teem.
...

Dread's bed
Eerie Glee.
Avast Ana.
Tritely Test
...

Falling, striking earths surface, never to return to heavens bliss.
Feathers cut, wings twisted and broken; eternally forsaken.
Left to wander and  reminisce of the day my righteousness went amiss.
To think what I thought was madness, madness possessing my naïve conscience.
...

Yesterday, today and tomorrow have all become one.
Every second, minute, hour deals unbearable grief.
Anguish, my new home; hopelessness my daily bread.
Reaching for untouchable stars of dreams of freedom.

Seven Voices

Seconds, minutes, hours, days quickly pass
Lingering, trying to find the energy to my wishes fulfill;
Obtaining and uniting the inseparable bond of us two.
There is only one that can wake my dormant heart,
Her, the one that freed my soul and my chains of loneliness crush.

Every word spoken suffocated my neck like the noose of a rope.
Needing nothing less than her love, her most prized possession.
Vexed by her hideous most inaccurate accusation of perv.
Yearning for her last breath inhale, silencing the lies of that day.

Grabbing, stuffing my face as my mind begins wandering.
Lucidly filling my belly and mind with delicious delicacies, so sinful.
Overwhelmed, my mind and body feed on the stress of what to do.
Taunting, she beckons me to take my knife, take a piece and feast.
Taunting me to go and gobble up her soul, oh so sweet.
Opening her chest cavity, spewing her blood revealing her heart too.
Nothing being so delectable as the taste of fresh wounds can summon.
Yes! You my sweet meal have waited patiently my teeth decay.

Luscious though the capsule holding her beautiful soul.
Undeniably gorgeous from head to toe; none comparable to you.
Simply tantalizing the view, raising more than just my sinister emotions.
Treating her with delicacy, I will extract what was refused to me, her
heart.

Gathering my weapons of choice, a knife, a rope and a gag.
Reaching for darkened clothes for if she sees me she might disappear.
Enraging me, forcing me to not be gentle, for she is meant to be mine alone
Ending my chivalry, forced to retrieve what is rightfully mine.
Dissolving our carefully woven bond between her and I, my treasure so fond.

Wielding my blade in the dark becoming nothing but a shadow.
Ripping through the ominous silence, I tightly embrace her.
Awaking the terror that long loomed, as I prove who is alpha.
Tying her, gagging her mouth for screams would force us apart.
Holding her close, my knife rends her neck and relieves her of her breath.

Proving that my mind is sane, for like my knife I'm quite sharp
Removing proof of her souls depart and cleaning the mess on the floor.
Insuring that my wonderfully horrific deed remain with only me, myself and I.
Deceived yet again by the demons residing happily in my mind.
Entering through the doorway of disparity in quest to obtain love.
