Waiting For The World To Change

Thousand people with blank faces,
who will stop to smell the roses?
The rat race of the human life,
onward soldiers with zeal and strife.

Black and white,
colours unite,
just slow down for a while,
take those little moments to smile.

Life on the sidewalk,
heartbreak, gossip and office talk,
Listen to the children crying,
Bitterness of people lying.

Trash litters the streets,
hearts moving to different beats,
Everyone's a little strange,
tell me when the world will change.

What are we all running for?
money, sex, fame galore?
Society corrupting the minds of the innocent,
with their labels: failures, useless, delinquents.

On the corporate ladders,
guns, swords, canons, daggers.
Hatred fills the minds of some,
wars being fought, reasons, there are none.

Where are we going today?
Is there anyone with something to say?
Society is being degraded,
everything becoming jaded.

Voices and people without names,
i'm just waiting for the world to change
