Summer Medicine

I love the warm gentle rush of summer through my veins
It picks me up and carries me through darker days.
I close my eyes and reminisce
butterflies float through my mind
I share a soft warm kiss, and for a moment all is blind.
So lets enjoy these summer rays
the scents, the taste, the touch
for round the corner lie less friendly colder days
to nip our skins and give a sharper rush.
