Listen To Our Shout

I sit here and mourn the loss of kin,
because of another countries sin,
I think of the families feeling so bereft
the wives, mothers and children they left

It is time for the powers that be to note,
This is about lives, not winning a vote
Each day is a risk in the name of peace
How many more soldiers lives must cease?

This day I hang my head in shame
And I know where I firmly lay the blame
Look at your hands, see how they're stained
Red with the blood of our kin you have maimed

How can you sit in your ivory tower
Abusing your fragile positions of power?
Isn't it time you listened to our shout?
These warriors are our family, GET THEM OUT
