The Rain Comes Falling Down

I am searching for the north,
The shining star that leads the way,
She was my faith,
And in every breath I take, I can hear her name.

The rain comes falling down.
'I am your beloved anchor'
And she told me she'll never leave,
But the children still weep.

So raise your half-filled glass of wine
And thank the heavens,
For tonight we dance under the moonlight,
Where no man had found us yet.

The knife won't slide off, the table won't ever turn;
And life feels so frightening.
Oppressed by one of the only ones,
Whose souls have survived…
