the darkening sky splits
into liquid night

temple bells
the isolated raindrops
on my umbrella
...

seeing the whole
blossom contained
in a seed
I look up to the sky
...

having to wear
several masks in life -
if only I could
drift away between scenes
...

my mind dwells
on life's patchwork
I see
the good the bad
...

Devi temple...
along with the ants
I enter barefoot
...

liquid sky...
a steel bucket hits
the well water
...

spring breeze —
I catch the tune
she leaves behind
...

winter loneliness
the sofa she vacates
holds her shape
...

the year passes...
longing for cranes
to colour the sky
...
