That Door Inside My Mind.

To lock that door inside my mind,
And free my aching heart.
I know it might take more than time,
The more we are apart.

I know that now you're not around,
But I still bet you care.
That thought, keeps my feet on the ground,
I still picture you there.

I think it's time you heard the truth,
'Cause I'm not going to lie.
You ARE the memories of my youth,
The sun up in my sky.

Several years have come and gone,
And I'm no longer alone.
I FINALLY found my other one,
And now, you want me home?

So to lock that door inside my mind,
I surely do decline.
To get over you, is no crime,
All the years I wish would rewind.

Now my partner's gone,
Left me alone.
I'm begging on the phone,
To me now, I want you home.

Last chance to lock that door,
To have you in my arms.
I lay here flat upon the floor,
I could not escape your charms.

I'm here alone,
And to lock that door inside my mind.
Please, please, pick up the phone,
Too leave that pain struck chest behind.

And free my aching heart.
