The Void Of The Black Dog.

My heart has become an empty space,
A void of aching pain.
And from this void the tears do flow,
In an never ending rain.
There is no sobbing,
I do not cry out aloud.
Just drowning in the constant flowing pain.

I know not how I came to be,
In this place desolation.
But constant run the tears,
That burn hot with my frustration.
My mind is blank,
My humour gone.
Slide slowly I, into the darkest station.

The wheels have lost their traction.
The edge was far too near.
The turning was too sudden.
I have lost my footing dear.
Here on the edge of no where,
By my finger tips I cling.
The pain so deep and strong, I’ve lost my voice to sing.

But worry not,
This too will pass.
I’ve been this way before.
It is a battle constant fought,
But sadly, never won.
A relentless, constant shadow,
Is this black dog, that I do barely out run.
