Connected

One day I’ll have a heart to heart
But I can’t stop worrying
That my ribs are in the way
And my other bones and blood
And muscle and skin
And that’s a lot of barriers to get through
So for now my heart is disused
Or momentarily indisposed
Hidden away from being overexposed
It could never be broken
If it’s wrapped up so well.
