Great Day

Today's going to be a great day
Every day starts the exact same way

Wake up and get dressed
Have to look your very best

Grab your bag and go
Just go with the flow

You get to school
Everyone acts cool

Until one boy pulls a gun
And all you can think to do is run

You hear the shots ring
Off the walls they ding

The rest of the school starts to flee
Instead your best friend begins to plea

You see the gun raised to her head
BANG BANG Now she's dead

Tears start streaming down your cheeks
BANG BANG There goes the guy you"ve been dating for weeks

Your little sister comes running down the hall
BANG BANG You watch her fall

You feel your heart suddenly drop
They tell you to run and not to stop

But now you're paralyzed
With the new terror you've just realized

You can tell the shots are getting near
Suddenly you see the boy appear

Nowhere to hide
The shot is open wide

He looks you in the eye
Smiles and says "goodbye"

BANG BANG

Blood covers your body
Your head starts to get foggy

Nobody's coming
Your legs are numbing

"Goodbye everyone
We sure gave this life a good run"

As it turns out...

Today was never going to be a great day
