Bully

I look at them as I walk past,
Should I say something?
Should I help?
I look at the helpless look on their face,
They are just as scared as I am.
Should I say something?
Should I help?
No, I tell myself,
They will just do the same to me.
I try and not listen as their harsh words penetrate
The brain of the victim.
Should I say something?
Should I help?
Why do they do that?
I want to say something,
I want to help.
I want to be the person that changes everything.
But, they will just do the same to me,
That voice in the back of my head,
Always nagging, telling me to turn the other cheek.
No, I tell it.
But, again, it wins the battle.
I am too far away to help anyway.
As I walk on by the next time,
They are there,
Still nagging them.
Say something, say something.
I guess courage cannot get hold on me,
I think as I walk away again
I think in my head,
Why do they do that?
Why do they think that it is ok to bully someone?
Do they think they are just “messing around”?
What do they think it does to them?
What would would they do if they were in their position?
Would they look into the bully’s eyes?
Begging them to stop?
Would they look into my eyes?
Begging me to help?
Bully effect you as much as it effects them.
I want to help,
I feel that I should help,
Should I?
Yes.
Stop them from bullying anymore.
Why do they do that?
Do they think it is funny?
Do they know what it does to them?
Bullying needs to stop,
You need to stop them.
Fight that voice in your head,
Win the battle, and the war.
Help. It makes a different that changes lives.
