Keith Koech Poems

And I'm sorry to those
Who were counting on me
To be strong through the lows.
To those who said, 'Hold on,
...

In the quiet hum of the morning's breath,
Where shadows dance like whispers of time,
There's a river that runs beneath our feet,
Carving paths unseen, yet deeply felt.

I'm Thinking Of Ending Things

And I'm sorry to those
Who were counting on me
To be strong through the lows.
To those who said, 'Hold on,
You are stronger than you know, '
Please accept my apology
For the pain I couldn't forgo.

And I'm indifferent to those
Who will spit on my name,
Who will call me weak
And tarnish my claim.
To those who think I'm petty
For choosing this route,
Please accept my disregard
For your judgment and doubt.

And I admire those
Who found strength within,
Who held on tight
And refused to give in.
To those who fought battles
And lived through the strife,
Please accept my respect
For embracing your life.

And I'm grateful to those
Who won't feel dismay,
But will find peace knowing
I'm free from the fray.
To those who find comfort
That I'm no longer in pain,
Please accept my gratitude
For your kind refrain.

And I give my heart to You,
You who saved me,
Who spoke words of solace
And set my soul free.
To you who found language
That rescued my mind
From its own hands,
With love intertwined.
