Everybody's Children

Everybody's children that's what we are
All on a journey which might take us far.
How far you travel that's up to you
You take you chances and do what you do.

You took your ticket and gave it it's stars,
It could go wherever, further that Mars!
The fuel that's required's no more than a dream,
So powerful you could never have seen
Into the future to take just a clue
Where many years on it might just take you

Neverending places
With millions of faces
Some you'll remember some you'll forget,
Special people you haven't yet met.

Hold on to your ticket and hold it tight
the journey continues late in the night.

Everybody's children that's what we are
All on a journey which might take us far.
How far you travel that's up to you,
You take your chances and do what you do.

As you grow older the dream starts to fade,
Another dream ticket you wish you had made.
Of journeys taken some were mistakes
A new direction you wish you could take.
For the new generation the future you make
So keep up the rhythm if just for their sake.

Let go of the past, give the future a chance
Raise a glass with your friends and dance.
Remember all those people who are new friends you met
Understand disappointment but never regret.

A little bit older, you travelled so far.
A million miles later and here we all are.
