The Real Identity
I see people all around me, I see the mirror in front of me, I see a brown girl with black long hair. I see around and all I see are black eyes looking back at me. A complexion of an Aztec princess or just another Mexican girl? Trying to fit in, in this white Anglo society or screaming for help trying to find the real Chicano society? Black, brown, white or yellow, does it really matter when someone is trying to hide there real identity? I try to see beyond what meets the eye but first I should look at what it is of me.
