20 year old poet from Trinidad and Tobago. I wrote my first poem at age 10 because I was angry with my mom because she wouldn't give me some cake in Trinidad children know they can't bad-talk their parents so I vented on the pages of an old copy-book. I have been writing ever since.)

She Loves Him Too Much

I love you too much 4 words,
I love you for being you.
When you're mad guess what i love u to.
When you hurt me, my heart still loves you,
When you're hurt, my heart will do anything to make you smile

I never had the courage to tell you just how much you mean to me.
I knew the thing i feared would become a reality.
I knew you would give my love away to someone who doesn't deserve it,
and you'll fool yourself into thinking what i did was deceitful and dishonest

But that's the tragedy of the love we once shared,
we dreamed a perfect future, but it died wit our tears.

And as i go to sleep each night
I pray God keeps you safe and makes your life right.
I'll never be the same without you in my life
I gave you my love i was ur wife.

Now there's too many standing in my shoes
and its your fault i feel mistreated and used.

Your friends act like i did u wrong
and everyone stares at me like I am no longer human
But yet still i pray for strength through this rain
because you proved the love we had wasn't going to last anyway.

The life you live is shameful and i wonder why.
Is that the type of women you rather in your life?
But i stay true to myself and avoid fights
Because the one who truly understands a man is his wife.

No matter how it hurts i always remember,
All the great times we had together.
And love i place in your non-existant parting words.
'this love i have deep inside
is enough to fill the world
but it would not ever mean much
if i didn't have my girl'
