Charge Of The Scooter Brigade

I
Half a scooter, half a scooter,
Half a scooter onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the SRG God.
"Forward, the Scooter Brigade!
Charge for the ankles! " he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the SRG God.

II
"Forward, the Scooter Brigade! "
Was there a ankle dismembered? ?
Not though the SRG God knew
Someone's ankles had blundered.
His not to make reply,
His not to reason why,
His but to do and die.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the SRG God.

III
Ankles to right of them,
Ankles to left of them,
Ankles in front of them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with a Formula one car,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of hell
Rode the SRG God.

IV
Flashed all their rayguns bare,
Flashed as they turned in air
Kicking the ray gunners there,
Charging a scooter, while
All the world wondered.
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right through the line they broke;
Ray gunner and scooter
Reeled from the ankle stroke
Shattered and sundered.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the SRG God.

V
Rayguns to right of them,
Formula one race cars to left of them,
Dick pics behind them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with 49 subscribers,
While Scooter and God fell.
He that had fought so well
Came through the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of hell,
All that was left of his scooter,
Left the SRG God.

VI
When can his ankle fade?
O the wild charge he made!
All the world wondered.
Honour the charge he made!
Honour the Scooter Brigade,
Noble 49 subscribers!
