Lunar Rain

Rain.
It's so beautiful, wonderful, playful.
I dance in the rain when the
sun has sunk low, not caring
about what anyone would
say or think if they saw me now.
Rain is so pure
as it slides off clouds,
plunges from the heavens
and hits solid earth.
Rain is so pretty,
colorless at one moment,
then shining brightly in
the face of the full moon,
as if it came from the moon itself.
Rain is so musical,
creating it's own calming
sounds to settle people in it's sleep.
Each dropp of rain seems to be saying my name,
Amaya, Amaya, Amaya...
Each falling liquid singing it's own song,
Amaya, Amaya, Amaya...
Each beautiful melody, flying peacefully down,
Amaya, Amaya, Amaya...
I wish it could stay this way forever.
Pure rain falling from the gleaming,
sparkling moon as it satisfies
my every desire.
But even as I think this, I
come back to my warm blankets
on my soft bed.
