Dr.Rippys' Rip Off Ward #1

happy birthday little girl,
isolation room surprise!
naked walls, metal table, no cake for you, kid.

4 point restraints, spread eagle, no gown tonight, all grown up now.
the room is cold,
the metal cold,
the mind cold,
the heart frozen.

the only warmth the shearing lining of the restraints.
fleeting warmth between her legs when she pisses herself,
wrists, ankles, table, mind freezing,
but knowing this is wrong.

staring at the 8x7 window in the door,
willing the slide to open,
(are there humans still outside?)
willing the devil in white to PLEASE come in,
bring me thorazine & oblivion.

screaming, freezing, screaming,
how many days have i been strapped down in fear?
screaming, freezing, screaming,
but knowing no one can hear.

her stronger soul floats above, watching the tears,
knowing no one will dry her tears,
knowing she'll bury herself for years,
still throws down her birthday present...
the child will survive, then thrive.
