A CHILDHOOD MEMORY
I was walking outside our house,
Beside a large pile of old lumber,
When I spied a large Tarantula- -
This was no time to lie down and slumber
But it was a lot more scared of me
Than I guess I was of it
So it hid inside the pile of lumber
And that calmed me a little bit.
I don’t know how I remember this,
For no one saw it but me.
When I described the place to my mom,
She said that I was only three.
