Drink With Me

I was lost, without a home, trapped.
Until you came for me and showed me the way.
You handed me my escape and said
" Drink with me, Drink with me today."

Hesitant at first, but I grabbed the poison.
I'm making a choice for myself to die and decay.
I'm so frightened, but I remember your words,
" Drink with me, Drink with me today."

Even after you died, My love, you're always here.
Lonely and crying, my world looks gray.
But I trust you even now as you speak
" Drink with me, drink with me today."

A heartfelt letter tells my goodbyes. we both take a sip.
I did it, I drank with you, I drank with you today.
I lay down, close my eyes, and let the toxins kick in.
I take my last breath as I'm floating away.
