To walk, stumbling.
With every step –

Like a hurricane, the feelings
Rush over me, they

Grass
Still green.
Leaves
Still brilliant.

rain
drizzling in plain
sheets over the
asphalt where

Out of boredom
Come wild thoughts.

I look at the maples

I live somewhere
far away from the place
they call my home.
