Laura Portillo Poems

I don't want to be here
so alone
this sensation of shame
this feeling of blame
...

I'm afraid someday you'll realize
I'm just not worth your pain
You'll leave and find someone
Who's worthy of you
...

Your love,
your lies
just hold me tight
everything will be alright
...

My Many Mirrors

I don't want to be here
so alone
this sensation of shame
this feeling of blame
can't shake away the pain.

Put on a smile
just to hide the truth,
millions of tears,
millions of mirrors,
everything i feel.

The smile fades,
lies fly away,
and my many mirrors break,
shattered and reflecting,
my broken self.

Repair?
who can?
is there someone out there
that even cares?
