A Singer To Thank

Sitting back by a light up tree,
She strums her guitar with her delicate fingers.
Looking out at the crowd,
The crowd itself has its eyes only on her.
I must say she looks very fine,
By pairing a blue dress with the hue in her eyes.
Her rhythm and lyrics have brought her this far.
Her voice takes me farther than the distance to the moon and the stars,
As she sings this heavenly cover of a song.
Sometimes I wish I had the curls in her hair.
I wonder if she knows of my existence anywhere,
Like a firefly set out to be wild and free.
Because I'd give anything to tell her why she means the world to me.
And thank her for guiding me into the path where I was supposed to be.
