Like Night There Is No Sound

Like night there is no sound,
All is quite there is no movement.
Then all of a sudden BANG,
The bombs start again.

All the men go for cover,
Lewis guns preventing an attack.
As the bombs dropp harder and faster,
A man is hit...

Men scramble up to help the man,
His leg is stuck on a peice of trench.
Hearing another bomb on the approach,
A soldier swips the mans leg off.

He is dragged towards the wagon,
Thrown on and taken away.
all fell silnet nothing moved,
All fell dark again...
