You

I used to love you,
But you broke my heart,
It has been ripped in two,
Torn apart,
By no one else but you.

I may recover,
I might feel better,
But all in due time,
Because love is a harsh thing.

We fell quickly,
With no thoughts,
We were quick to think about our future,
When we barely hinted at our present.

You refused to say our names together in public,
It must have been poison to your tongue.

I liked our names together,
I thought what did it matter,
love is a mysterious thing,
But then I saw you,
Lying about with her,
And I knew you were no longer mine.

You tore out my heart,
You ripped it in two,
But all I can think about is you.
