A top Lake Naivasha, I savor one of human kind's oldest views
Over the sweeping floor of the largest valley
Severing the garland of the dos and don’ts,
Foisted on us for generations
Prying open the clenched fist of norms and roles
A diseased antagonism appropriated for us
A pander to the expectations of the sanctimonious…
A leader? Young, unmarried and childless?
Then, the sputter and rage
Amidst jubilation at my coronation
