You think you know someone,
But its all a great big lie,
They tell you they have changed,
And they try and try and try.
Maybe it takes a genius to work out,
The fact that there is always one rule,
Once an abuser always an abuser,
But im a great big fool.
See... I couldnt acknowledge this,
No-one really could.
With a daddy kiss,
Things would all look fine,
But if you were to look further,
you'd see things were far from cloud nine.
Why didnt i just say it?
Tell them all this entire lie,
Because i was being watched,
By daddies unkind eye.
When you come to think of it he wasn't really dad,
Just someone to get a threaten from,
or something else scary and bad!
It makes me sick to think of it,
everything he has done,
Things were so hard back then,
I know i should have run..
But i was scared
Its just great to know he cared!
