Forever Sixteen

Forever Sixteen
I look in the mirror and all I see
Is this girl looking back at me
I know what she feels
The things that I use to
The way it use to be
Before there was the girl in the mirror and her friend
They thought that summer should never end
And then there was the day that the girl in the mirror lost her best friend
She was just sixteen, free
Learning who she was going to be
Then there was that day she was riding down the road
The girl in the mirror has to bury her best friend
The girl in the mirror thought the relationship would never end
The drunk driver hit and killed Kimberly that day
She is trapped forever sixteen it isn’t supposed to be that way
The girl in the mirror use to have fun
But now the mirror can only hold the reflection of one
The girls will meet again one day
For now this is all I can say
