Beer In The Park

Our town is divided by what do you think
Drink a beer, don't drink a beer
You might end up in the clink
The city council thinks it's OK
Even the sops seem to make it their day
Two on the council opposed to the booze
Tries to sway council for good, but they lose
Seems that some people have to have a beer
They'll sell their soul without any fear
Kids no longer are safe in the swings
Hoods and scoundrels are doing their things
You won't see kids playing in the park
Because some politicians are out in the dark
