Companion of misery the night would be
If I take not union of word, from whence mine heart might be
Upon the thought, streams of chilly sweat flows
Frightened by muscles; of physical and mental fairness;
Alert am I to my strength, a mellow voice hath push
On a whirlwind is mine beloved
Couldn’t be the air I hug, am moved
Not the wall, I neither talk to; nor shed tears
So gentle and soft a voice, my love has ears
Tender kiss on a fragile lip; too costly to be away;
Mine home is my beloved’s heart, to stay I pray
Amorous eyes that weaken mine ...
