Cathedral Of The Pines (National Landmark At Rindge, New Hampshire)

On a hill stands a cathedral
Where we may pray in our own way,
Its outdoor chapels pledged to God.
The peaceful valley just below
Is ablaze with autumn's brilliance
Crimson, scarlet, copper and gold.
As the wind rustles through the pines,
We marvel at nature's wonders.

This tribute to a young pilot
And to all others, through the years,
Who gave their lives to keep us free,
Expresses gratitude with love.
The altar wrought of precious stones
From far and near marks unity.
As the wind rustles through the pines,
We pause to remember ...
