He didn't cross the ocean.
He crossed the desert,
he walked and walked miles upon miles.
Why did he make this journey?
...

The words you say hurts my brain.
The things you do give me pain.
Why does life gotta go this way?
When things go bad...

The Journey To America

He didn't cross the ocean.
He crossed the desert,
he walked and walked miles upon miles.
Why did he make this journey?
It wasn't for freedom, he wasn't enslaved,
Why did he make the journey?
The roads through mexico were so dangerous.
Arriving at the border was a relief,
but soon the relief turned to fear.
What if he got caught here?
Was it really worth it?
Well if he didn't make this journey,
I wouldn't be here telling this story.
