Mackenzie Unger Poems

I look around this long, dark hall.
I hear a soft beat of a bouncing ball.
bump, bump, bump.
...

A dragon flies overhead
There is a loud yell in the distance
I hide in this forest
Hoping no one will find me
...

I close my eyes and look through the glass,
A tear falls down my cheek, dark and crass.

What happened to that magical laugh I could never hate,
...

It shouldn't be called 'The End'
'The End' is so blunt

When you meet some one you always say 'Hi'

Mackenzie Unger Biography

Hi I'm Mackenzie. I like to read and write. I'm currently working on writing a story called 'The Witch's Attic'. I've been working on this book for a while now and it is progressing, but I keep changing it's title and the names of some of the main characters. Oh well I'll see how it goes. Sorry I haven't written any poems in a while still trying to think. Well thanks for reading my poems.)

Nothing

I look around this long, dark hall.
I hear a soft beat of a bouncing ball.
bump, bump, bump.

As I look, I see a single door.
On the door is a single silver handle, nothing more.
I still hear the beat, bump, bump, bump.

I took a single step through the only door into an empty room.
A single light hung from the roof, giving off and eary loom.
I still hear the beat, bump, bump, bump.

I walked across the empty room and through another door.
I followed the sound of the bouncing ball and nothing more.
I still hear the beat, bump, bump, bump.

I walked down another empty hall,
Following the growing sound of the bouncing ball.
I still hear the beat, bump, bump, bump.

I opened another door, and stepped outside.
I saw a lonley little boy bouncing a ball at his side.
I could hear the ball, bump, bump, bump.

The boy stopped bouncing the ball.
He turned to me and said, 'There is no one here, no one at all.'
I could hear my heart beat, bump, bump, bump.

I watched the little boy disappear into thin air,
And with him everything else, leaving the darkness stricken and bare.
I could hear... nothing.
