Petrified Wood

My boyfriend and I went out for a hike
along the trail, we were both mesmerized
...

Like the stars so high
to be held above the earth
dazzles like diamonds
...

Soft woven caress
like cascading leaves color
Autumn's floral lawn.
...

Freedom

There at the door of deaths dreamland of Kingdom
Often many have fought for their rights for freedom
...

Kookie Kokum is on the run and on the loose
She was driving way to fast and hit two bull-moose
Now her fender is bent
And her tooth fell and sent
...

In the desert prairies
of my early childhood
the sparse tree's roots
smells like water
...

So far away from you
I try not to keep griping
solemnly I eat sparingly with
clenched wooden sticks
...

At noon in the prairies the sky is cloudless
there's a slight wind so near
It beguiles out atmosphere
if you look closely you'll view a prairie dog
...

The clouds overhead looked like a mass of puffy cotton balls
snow had fallen but the girl was not so cold at all
The snowflakes were ginormous, the kind you can see many shapes
as they land on your skin, in a split second they ominously drape
...

Dreams in everyone's life seem to get
shattered and broken somewhere along
the way when they walk, jog, think so much
...

Lazily, disdaining up above the sky to pursue
As the setting of the sun is too indolent to hold
such a tournament is lengthened and embedded in gold
while the sun passively darkens for a nights barbecue
...

Beautiful flower
so wild and so pretty of
scents so inviting
...

Lush inviting lawn
smelling freshly cut and green
as like my red roses
...

Petrified Wood

Petrified Wood

My boyfriend and I went out for a hike
along the trail, we were both mesmerized
this path that we were roaming looked narrow
and well traveled by others over time.

We stopped when we both found a good place to
relax and have a bite of our trail mix
after our small brunch, we decided to take another
path which led down into a small crevice.

Then we both decided who shall enter in first
once inside we found we had to use our
flashlights, looking down near an outing we
both saw something unusual lying under

A cracked visage of a rock, this in itself
looked as if someone had made a whole to
hide something so they can come back for it.
Once we both went down on our knees we both

felt a small shiver run up and down our spines.
Laying beside or behind the big bolder of rock
was a skeleton of a man who may have died
when part of the rock gave way and crushed him.

Just then we both stood up so fast we almost
missed a shiny or so we thought lying at or
near his broken ankle, a large piece of
Petrified Wood.

Wrapped beside it we also found a
note that this human had written for
someone. In case of my death can you give
this small treasure to my son, Raymond.

Guess the small treasure was this precious
piece of Petrified Wood, for it, had the effect
that it also looked like it had been bronzed by
some unknown barrier upon this well forested hills.
