The leaves gently falling
from my tree of life
each tells a story
of what was once
between us in this
game called love
seen through the mist of time
each holds a memory dear
of you and I whilst
the sun was near
Softly, so softly
the leaves of memories fall
in the autumn of my life
colourful, beautiful
memories of you
the one that I love
I will bend me down
to gather them all
hold them close
to my heart till
death us do part
